dog park // fort harrison state park
In 2022, members of the Fort Harrison State Park Dog Park partnered with members of the Friends of Fort Harrison to help with the maintenance of dog park grounds and facilities, as well as to create a lasting volunteer structure for the park. This urban treasure is the only dedicated off-leash dog park in the Indiana State Park system and includes wooded areas, trails, and a 2.5 acre pong accessible during non-freezing months.
Tucked away at 8725 Fall Creek Road (north side of the park), the dog park is not connected to the main portion of Fort Harrison State Park, and the card-controlled entrance to the dog park is separate from the main entrance of Fort Harrison State Park. The annual membership required to access the dog park is also separate from the entry fee to Fort Harrison State Park.
